How did you get into photography?
i took a class on accident in 6th grade and i didn't like it at first but then my interest sprung from there.

What inspires you?
human interaction, being a teenager.

Who or what is your favorite subject to shoot?
my friends.

You are really aware of body positioning, your own and that of your subjects.  Is that something you feel has just developed over time with experience; or do you also have some experience with dance or other forms of movement that gives you this awareness?
i danced in middle school!

Your pictures seem to tell stories.  Do you usually have something in your mind when you shoot them, or is it just an element that you come across that inspires you?  
i think both happen frequently. it's like the difference between looking for something and accidentally finding something.

One of my favorite photos of yours is the shot of you in the snow half-turning.  Can you tell me about that day? 
not a good day. henry and i broke up 2 days before. i wasn't doing so well. i left lillie's house to take pictures by myself while she did homework, and all these stoners were laughing at me and pissing me off while i was taking it. it was 12 degrees and i couldn't feel anything.

You’re really young, and you have a big fan base (especially on Flickr!) and a burgeoning career.  What do you think about it all?
